Discussion of May 2022 Warrant Articles <br /> Draft warrant articles for May Town Meeting were distributed. <br /> Mr. Gallagher stated that the final Articles are due February 14, 2022 and funding requests <br /> must be submitted by the end of March but, that we are shooting for mid-March. <br /> Mr.Towle made a motion to approve the Warrant Articles to fund the full design of the cost <br /> of Phase 2 subject to the dollar amounts that are needed. <br /> Ken Dunn seconded the motion. <br /> Vote: 5-0-0 <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Dunn; yes <br /> Ms. Harris; yes <br /> Ms. Malone; yes <br /> Mr. Rapacz; yes <br /> Mr. Towle; yes <br /> In favor, 5, Opposed, 0; Abstentions, 0 <br /> Discussion of RFP for Phase 2 <br /> Mr. Gallagher stated that the project schedule is based on the SRF program and deadlines and <br /> schedules. <br /> Mr. Gallagher stated that to go forward with Phase 2 there needs to be a cost provided to fund <br /> the full design of Phase 2. The Article is for funding that design cost. We are soliciting <br /> proposals from GHD and EPG for Phases 2A through 2E individually, as well as 25%design cost <br /> and a caveat to terminate if the Commission decides not to move forward. Also, included is an <br /> approximate cost estimate of the new plant design and upgrades to Phase 1. <br /> If that Article passes in May Town Meeting immediately after we will have to award the <br /> contract because they only have from the beginning of May until August to do five 25%designs <br /> and five probable cause designs. <br /> Once that number is received the Commission can decide what they'll go forward with. <br /> The Commission will meet with each consultant individually next week to discuss the RFP. <br /> Mr. Gallagher is requesting a 25% design and estimated construction costs, The Town will <br /> provide aerial surveys for each section. <br /> Engineer's Report <br /> Mashpee Neck Rd. and Brewster Rd. pump station sites have been evaluated and cleared for <br /> work. <br /> JBCC Meeting Report <br /> Matt Kennedy of Converge met with Town Officials and Sewer Commissioners to review the <br /> status of their Acquisition of the JBCC treatment plant facilities. He addressed Mashpee's <br /> funding concerns about a relationship with Converge and the JBCC plant by expressing the <br /> 2 <br />
