Mashpee Zoning <br /> Board of Appeals Minutes <br /> 5 October 27, 2004 <br /> NEW PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> John Nahigian: Requests a Special Permit from Section 174-25 1.9 of the Zoning By- <br /> laws in order to build a pier, ramp and float in Ockway Bay on property located in an R-3 <br /> zoning district at 14 Little Neck Lane (Map 5 Parcel 105) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Sitting: James Regan, Robert Nelson, Zella Elizenberry, Richard Guerrera and Marshall <br /> Brem. <br /> Lynn Hamblin of Hamblin Consulting represents the applicant at this hearing. They are <br /> seeking a special permit to build a pier, ramp and float in Ockway Bay. The Board <br /> reviews the plans. Conservation has approved the plans. All paperwork is in order and <br /> Robert Nelson moves to grant the special permit. Marshall Brem seconds the motion. All <br /> agree. So moved. Reference plans from Stephen Doyle and Associates of East Falmouth, <br /> MA, dated April 24, 2004. <br /> Town of Mashpee/Mashpee Public Schools: Requests a Special Permit from Section <br /> 174-51 (B) and (C) of the Zoning By-laws in order to replace an existing sign for the <br /> Kenneth C. Coombs School on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 150/152 Old <br /> Barnstable Road (Map 67 Parcel 2) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Sitting: James Regan, Zella Elizenberry, Robert Nelson, Richard Guerrera and Marshall <br /> Breus. <br /> Elizabeth Hendricks from the K.C.Coombs PTO represents the school for the special <br /> permit application. They would like to build a new sign to replace the current outdated <br /> sign for the K.C. Coombs school. The Board reviews the picture of the sign and fully <br /> supports the decision. Ms. Hendricks also informs the Board that there will be no cost <br /> incurred by the Town as they are getting much of the materials and labor donated by <br /> various building shops in town. Marshall Brem makes a motion to grant the special <br /> permit. Zella Elizenberry seconds the motion. All agree. So moved. <br /> Mark R. and Patricia M. Anderson: Request a Special Permit from Section 174-25 1.9 <br /> of the Zoning By-laws in order to construct a pier, ramp and float with electric and water <br /> service with maintenance and perpetuity on property located in an R-3 zoning district at <br /> 29 Hamblin Road (Map 120 Parcel 32) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Sitting: James Regan, Robert Nelson, Zella Elizenberry, Marshall Brem and Richard <br /> Guerrera. <br /> David Sanicki of Cape & Islands Engineering represent the petitioners at this hearing. <br /> They are seeking a special permit in order to build a pier, ramp and float on Hamblin <br /> Pond. Mr. Sanicki informs the Board that one of the abutters the Moore Family, wanted <br /> the dock moved; however, the Harbor Master Perry Ellis does not want it where the <br /> Moore's have suggested it to be.
