TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> Minutes—Zoning Board of Appeals <br /> Wednesday,April 12,2000 <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at <br /> 7:30 P.M. at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board Members present were Vice Chairman <br /> James E. Regan III, Board Member Robert G.Nelson,Associate Members Frederick R. <br /> Borgeson, Marshall A. Brem, Richard T. Guerrera and Zella E. Elizenberry. Building <br /> Inspector Russell W. Wheeler was also in attendance. Chairman Edward M. Govoni was <br /> not present. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS ` <br /> ' 1a <br /> Mark P. Schofield—Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.I9 of the Zoning it <br /> By-laws for permission to construct a pier, ramp and float on Great River on property * <br /> located in an R-3 zoning district at 378 Monomoscoy Road(Map 125 Block 19) <br /> Mashpee, MA. <br /> Mark P. Schofield—Requests a Variance from Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning <br /> By-laws for permission to exceed the 70-foot length limit to allow for construction <br /> of a pier, ramp and float on Great River on property located in an R-3 zoning district <br /> at 378 Monomoscoy Road(Map 125 Block 19)Mashpee,MA. <br /> Sitting: James E. Regan III, Robert G.Nelson and Marshall A. Brem. ;� �' <br /> Mr.Norman Hayes of the BSC Group represented the applicant and stated that <br /> �1 <br /> Harbormaster Perry Ellis and Shellfish Constable Richard York assisted in the unique <br /> design of the proposal. The proposal calls for anchor chains with an eyebolt to hold the <br /> float in place and to keep the float off the tidal bottom at all times. The proposed float <br /> size is 6 x 16 feet.'` <br /> The applicant is also requesting a Variance to allow for construction of a 90-foot length <br /> pier. Filing for a Chapter 91 license and filing with the Army Corps of Engineers will be j. . <br /> done prior to construction of the pier, ramp and float. Brem and Borgeson stated that they visited the site earlier in the day. <br /> ` w <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br /> Mr. Marshall moved to grant the Special Permit, subject to findings 1,2, 3,4, 5, 6 and <br /> plan revised 3/29/00. Mr.Nelson seconded. All agreed. 1 <br /> Mr. Marshall moved to grant a Variance of 20 feet, subject to similar findings as the �% <br /> Special Permit. Mr. Nelson seconded.
