Roche <br /> of North Attleboro, Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Section 174-20 of the j <br /> Zoning By-laws for permission to demolish an existing dwelling and construct a new <br /> three-bedroom dwelling on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 6 Great River <br /> li <br /> Road(Map 120 Block 62)Mashpee, MA. <br /> I ,Ii <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General I <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on June 23 and June 30 2000 <br /> I III <br /> I <br /> a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board of j <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III, Robert G. Nelson and <br /> Marshall A. Brem. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> I' <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of j <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. John Slavinsky of Cape &Islands Engineering represented the Petitioner and I I' <br /> submitted photos of the existing cottage. The plans call for demolition of the existing <br /> i <br /> dwelling and construction of a new three-bedroom home farther away from the water and <br /> r'. <br /> wetlands. A new denitrification system would replace the existing cesspool. Proposed <br /> lot coverage would amount to 24.3% of the small 5,075 square-foot lot. Mr. Roche also <br /> g II <br /> attended the meeting. <br /> ; <br /> g <br /> The Conservation Commission has approved the project. <br /> Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester, direct abutters, objected to installation of the proposed <br /> I ' I ' <br /> 8-foot high fence and stated that it would be out of character with the neighborhood. Mr. <br /> I <br /> Roche consented to install a 6-foot high fence on the subject property. <br /> ! III <br /> l l l <br />
