Casey—Requests a Special Permit under Sections 174-24 and 174-25 of the
Zoning By-laws to allow for a commercial structure with an office and storage space for
commercial vehicles and equipment on properties located in a C-2 zoning district at 8
Sassacus Road and 84 Algonquin Avenue (Map 72 Blocks 58A and 58B)Mashpee, MA.
Owner of record: Henry C. Labute, Trustee.
Sitting: James E. Regan III, Richard T. Guerrera and Frederick R. Borgeson.
Attorney Thomas Souza represented the Petitions and stated that he does not have site
plans of the proposal. He stated that the proposed construction would be a log-cabin style
wooden building and would blend in with the surrounding buildings. Plans call for
construction of two buildings - a 2,000 square-foot building and a 3,000 square-foot
building.
Mr. Regan said that it was ridiculous that the Petitions were filed with the ZBA and that
Counsel is appearing before the Board without a site
plan. He said that the ad appeared
in the newspaper, that abutters attended the meeting and Counsel does not have the
necessary information for either the Board to render a decision or for the abutters to
obtain pertinent information. The Petitioner has not filed with either Design Review or
with Technical Review.
Robert and Ed Belekewicz, direct abutters, stated that they were greatly concerned with
the proposed 5,000 square-foot commercial construction right next to their residential
home.
II
i
