TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> Minutes—Zoning Board of Appeals <br /> Wednesday, August 8, 2001 <br /> k <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held Public Hearings on Wednesday, August 8, <br /> 2001, at 7:30 P.M. at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board Members present were Chairman <br /> Edward M. Govoni, Vice Chairman James E. Regan III, Clerk Robert G. Nelson and <br /> Associate Members Richard T. Guerrera, Zella E. Elizenberry, Marshall A. Brem and <br /> Frederick R. Borgeson. Building Commissioner Russell W. Wheeler also attended the <br /> meeting. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> Dominick B. Tiberio —Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning <br /> By-laws for permission to construct a pier, ramp and float on Ockway Bay on property <br /> n <br /> located in an R-3 zoning district at 15 Ockway Bay Road (Map 99 Parcel 48) Mashpee, <br /> n MA. Continued from 4/11/01, 5/23/01 and 6/13/01 Public Hearings to allow for <br /> ,a <br /> Conservation Commission approval. <br /> Sitting: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan IIl and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> 11 A <br /> j Mr. Jack Landers-Cauley represented the Petition and thanked the Board for its patience <br /> �',= with the delays of the above-referenced Petition. The Conservation Commission and the <br /> Shellfish Constable have approved the proposed construction of a pier, ramp and float. <br /> Mr. Brem said that he visited the site and that the proposal seems acceptable. <br /> 5 <br /> After some discussion, the Board discovered that the project appears to exceed the <br /> allowed 70-foot length limit. The Board told Mr. Landers-Cauley that the Petitioner must <br /> apply for a Variance from the Zoning By-laws to allow for the project. The Board also <br /> asked for a plan that shows the location of the mean high water mark. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br /> x <br /> The Board voted unanimously to continue the Petition until September 12, 2001 to allow <br /> bfr the Petitioner an opportunity to file for a Variance and to submit new plans. <br /> Vivian G. Williams—Requests a Variance from Sections 174-31 and 174-32 of <br /> the Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the lot size, lot frontage and fire protection <br /> access requirements to allow for construction of a single-family home on an unpaved <br /> road on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 24 Coombs Lane (Map 44 <br /> Parcel 117) Mashpee, MA. Continued from 7/25/01 Public Hearings because Petitioner <br /> was unable to attend meeting. <br /> Sitting: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> F <br />
