Gonsalves, Jr. V-99-3 Map 119 Block 90 <br /> 68 Seconsett Island Road <br /> A Petition was filed on November 18, 1998 by Manuel J. Gonsalves, Jr. of <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission to vary the front setback requirements on a comer lot on property located in <br /> an R-3 zoning district at 68 Seconsett Island Road (Map 119 Block 90), Mashpee, MA. <br /> (Owner of record: Manuel J. Gonsalves, Jr. and Anthony W. Gonsalves.) <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on December 22 and <br /> December 29, 1998, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, January 13, 1999, at 7:30 P.M., at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. <br /> Regan III and Robert G, Nelson. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. John Slavinsky of Cape& Islands Engineering represented the applicant. He <br /> stated that the existing dwelling is currently 19 feet from Seconsett Island Road and 25 <br /> feet from Riverside Road. The proposed structure will be 21 feet from Seconsett Island <br /> Road and 26 feet from Riverside Road. Mr. Slavinsky informed the Board that the <br /> applicant plans to construct a four-bedroom, cape-style dwelling that will be compatible <br /> with the neighborhood. It will be constructed in almost the same area as the existing <br /> home, with a slight improvement of the setback requirements, The applicant plans to <br /> replace the existing cesspool with the installation of a new Title V septic system. The <br /> Conservation Commission has reviewed the proposal. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br />
