Board of Appeals Minutes—August 25, 1999 4 <br /> Ms. Catherine Mahoney, Trustee, represented the applicant. Mr. John Johannsen also <br /> attended the meeting on behalf of the applicant. The Board of Appeals received <br /> correspondence from the Conservation Commission approving the project. Ms. Mahoney <br /> stated that the proposal is for the construction of a 10 x 8-foot dock and a 12 x 3-foot <br /> ramp. <br /> Mr. Govoni questioned the engineer who designed the proposal and Ms. Mahoney stated <br /> that the engineer does not have a stamp. Mr. Govoni expressed concern that winter ice <br /> can uproot the pilings. Ms. Mahoney stated that the applicant intends to remove the float <br /> during the winter. <br /> Ms. Elizenberry moved to grant the Special Permit, subject to criteria/findings 1-5 for <br /> docks. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. <br /> Kenneth E. Litvack—Requests an Appeal of the Building Commissioner's decision to <br /> deny a building permit to allow for construction of a garage on property located at 11 <br /> Taffiail Way(Map 106 Block 7)Mashpee,MA. <br /> The lawyer for the applicant faxed a request to continue the hearing, due to scheduling <br /> conflict, until September 8, 1999. Mr. Govoni moved to continue the hearing, due to <br /> Board of Appeals' heavy schedule load,until October 27, 1999. Mr. Guerrera seconded. <br /> All agreed. <br /> Mr. Guerrera moved to accept the minutes of August 11, 1999. Ms. Elizenberry <br /> seconded.
