Town of Mashpee <br /> nor' v`ay <br /> 16 Great JVeck -koacl Xorth <br /> MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEAL$Jashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> Decision for a Special Permit <br /> RE: Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership SP-99-118 13 Steeple Street <br /> Map 74 Block 20 <br /> I A Petition was filed on November 15, 1999 by Mashpee Commons Limited <br /> Partnership for a Minor Modification to an existing Special Permit for permission <br /> to construct a single-story addition totaling 3,820 square feet to Building 15 on property <br /> located in a C-1 zoning district at 38 Nathan Ellis Highway(Map 74 Block 20)Mashpee, <br /> MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, <br /> a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on November 19 and <br /> November 26, 1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, December 8, 1999, at which time the following members of the Zoning <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III, Robert G. <br /> Nelson and Richard T. Guerrera. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Douglas Storrs represented the application and stated that the Zoning Board <br /> of Appeals granted a Special Permit in 1986. Modifications to the Special Permit have <br /> also been granted several times over the years as final plans for the buildings were <br /> formalized. <br /> The Zoning Board of Appeals granted Special Permit, SP-99-49, in June 1999 that <br /> provided approval for Building 15. The modification to the Special Permit would allow <br /> for the construction of a 3,820 square-foot, single-story addition to Building 15. Mr. <br /> Storrs said that the Gap and Gap Kids stores would be relocated and Baby Gap and Body <br /> Gap stores would be added. The Design Review Committee has requested additional <br /> landscaping. <br /> Mr. Regan read letters from the Police Department,the Fire Department and the <br /> Planning Board expressing approval of the project. Greg Taylor, Director, DPW, <br /> recommended the installation of a right-hand turn lane on North Market Street. <br />
