Town qfNashpee
16 Great Neck 1oad Aorth
Washpee, Alassachusetts 02649
March 2, 1998
Mr. Bruce A. Besse, Jr.
NftAR -4
Willowbend Development Corporation 3
130 Willowbend Drive
Mashpee, MA 02649
Dear Mr. Besse:
This will confirm our telephone conversation today in which I informed you that the 32
Variance Applications which were filed with the Town Clerk on February 27 are
incomplete and cannot be processed by the Board.
The application forms are incomplete in the following:
I. they do not include the name of the property owner on each form—all of the
forms state "see attached".
2. they do not include the legal street address for each lot on each form.
3. the Map and Block numbers of the proposed lots are wrong - as an example, I
am including on copy which refers to Map 76 Block 5. This is a lot on Ship's
Wheel Drive and is not a part of your proposed subdivision.
4. the applications all refer to Shoestring Bay Estates lot numbers which have no
legal standing in the Board of Appeals procedures, They are only of interest in
referencing the lots against the accurate Map and Block numbers in the Town
assessing records.
The Secretary to the Board met with Deedie Speakman from your office and explained
that the above information was necessary, She suggested that Ms. Speakman take the
original subdivision plan and identify each lot with map and block numbers and accurate
street addresses and owners and transfer this to the individual application forms. This has
not been done. The Board cannot plan the legal advertising without this information.
Sincerely yours,
Edward M. Govoru, Chairman
Mashpee Board of Appeals
CC: Town Counsel
Town Clerk
