Talbot of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission <br /> to vary the side setback requirements to allow a proposed garage to be constructed 8.6 <br /> feet from the side lot line on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 16 Weather <br /> Crescent (Map 83, Block 92) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on June 5 and June 12, 1998 a copy of <br /> which is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, June 24, 1998 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Cheryl A. Hawver, Robert G. <br /> Nelson and Richard T. Guerrera. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Engineer John Landers-Cauley represented the applicant and reviewed plans for <br /> the addition of a garage to the house. He explained that the house was placed closer to <br /> the easterly sideline than similar houses in the area making it difficult to maintain the <br /> setback requirements. <br />
