West SP-98-145 26 Russell Road <br /> Map 120 Block 29 <br /> A Petition was filed on October 14, 1998 by John L. and Cynthia J. West of <br /> Hebron, Connecticut for a Special Permit under Section 174-25A.8 of the Zoning <br /> By-laws to construct an addition of a one-bedroom in-law apartment to an existing <br /> dwelling on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 26 Russell Road (Map 120 <br /> Block 29),Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on November 3, 1998 and <br /> November 13,1998, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday,November 18, 1998, at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III,Robert G. Nelson and <br /> Richard T. Guerrera. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> At the Public Hearing on October 14, 1998,the Board moved to take the petition <br /> for Special Permit"SP-98-127"to construct an addition to a non-conforming dwelling <br /> under advisement as it did not address §174-25.A.8 of the Zoning By-laws. "SP-98-127" <br /> is incorporated in this decision. <br /> Mr. Sanicki of Cape& Islands Engineering represented the applicants with new <br /> building plans modifying the outward appearance of the proposed structure. He stated <br /> that a breezeway will connect the existing house to the two-car garage,with another <br /> connecting breezeway to the in-law apartment. <br />
