ATTACHED SHEET
The purpose of this application is to repair the existing
1, 000 gallon underground fuel tank with a state of the art 2 , 000
gallon below ground tank. The construction of a 48 x 60 steel
building will make the facility aesthetically more accommodating to
the neighborhood and will replace the existing plastic hoop house
used to repair boats during the winter months . The interior
construction of the building will make it more environmentally
sensitive by building up the base of the foundation and laying
beams in the interior of the building to contain accidental
spillage of fuel . The portable racks will allow for the storage of
the boats away from the waterfront . The renovation of the existing
office will enhance the waterfront and be more pleasing to the
residences across the river while providing much needed storage and
meeting areas for Marina customers .
This request is consistent with the special permit granted on
June 3 , 1991 for ground storage . Although not within the
jurisdiction of this board, the applicant as part of the process
will eliminate an old cesspool and upgrade it to a state of the art
Title V System.
