SP-97-23 620 Falmouth Road <br /> Map 74 Block 6 <br /> A Petition was filed on February 18, 1997 by Cornish Nominee Trs. of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Sections 174-25.F.5 and 174-25.H.6 of the <br /> Zoning By-laws for the retail sale and display of garden sheds and furniture and children's <br /> jungle gyms on property located in a C-1 zoning district at 620 Falmouth Road (Map 74, <br /> Block 6)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee on March 7 and March 14, 1997, a copy of <br /> which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, March 26, 1997 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, Cheryl A. <br /> Hawver and Michael A. Makunas. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> John Renz of the Cornish Nominee Trust represented the applicant and reviewed <br /> plans for a proposed hoop house and outdoor display of garden furniture and playground <br /> equipment. He explained that they are seeking a temporary lease of the site until the final <br /> plans for Mashpee Commons have been completed. The Board noted that members of the <br /> Deer Crossing Condominium Association had been notified of the plans since they were <br /> not abutters but that potential traffic at the site might impact the locale. There were no <br /> objections to the use pending the approval of the Design Review Committee. <br />
