'Town of Mashpee <br /> �y 16 Great Jlreck Pvoad Arth <br /> A-lashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> Decision for a Special Permit <br /> RE: John H. and Eileen McCarthy - SP-97-22 5 Squaw's Lane <br /> Map 117 Block 79 <br /> A Petition was filed on February 10, 1997 by John H. and Eileen McCarthy of <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Section 174-17 of the Zoning By-laws <br /> to allow the expansion of a non-conforming dwelling with a 19' x 20' house addition and <br /> a 15' x 22.95' deck to replace an existing deck and porch on property located in an R-3 <br /> zoning district at 5 Squaw's Lane (Map 117, Block 79)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on February 21, 1997 and February 28, <br /> 1997, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday,March 12, 1997 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, Cheryl A. <br /> Hawver and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 6 and Section 174-17 of <br /> the Town of Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Engineer David Sanicki represented the applicants and presented plans for a house <br /> addition and adjoining deck which would replace an existing deck and porch. He <br /> informed the Board that the proposed lot coverage would be 12.9%. No comments were <br /> received from abutters. <br />
