Kariotis of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission to exceed the 70' length limit to allow for the extension of an existing dock to <br /> 96 feet on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 67 Tide Run(Map 125, Block <br /> 25 1)Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on January 5, 1996 and January 12, 1996, <br /> a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, January 24, 1996 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, Kenneth E. <br /> Marsters and James E. Regan III. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and Section 174- <br /> 25.I.9 of the Town of Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Engineer Michael H. Grotzke represented the applicant and informed the Board <br /> than the design of an existing dock has been revised and extended to 96 feet to conform to <br /> the recommendations of the Conservation Commission and Shellfish Constable. He <br /> explained that the new plans will result in improved habitat for shellfish in the area. <br />
