Town of Mashpee <br /> 16 Great JVeck load JVorth <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> Decision for a Special Permit <br /> RE: Mashpee Industrial Park Realty Trust 64 Industrial Drive <br /> Map 88 Block 44 <br /> A Petition was filed on July 22, 1996 by Mashpee Industrial Park Realty Trust of <br /> Brewster, Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Sections 174-25.D.1-5, 174-25.G.1- <br /> 10, and 174-25.H.6 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to construct a 80' by 124.11' <br /> building to be divided into a maximum number of five commercial rental units on property <br /> located in an I-1 zoning district at 64 Industrial Drive (Map 88,Block 34)Mashpee,MA. <br /> (Owner of record: Paul deRuyter, TR.). <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on August 9, 1996 and August 16, 1996, a <br /> copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Carol H. Jacobson Senior Center <br /> on Wednesday, August 28, 1996 and continued on Wednesday, September 25, 1996 at <br /> which times the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III and Cheryl A. Hawver. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> William Currie represented the applicant and informed the Board that he was <br /> planning to construct a steel building of under 10,000 square feet to be divided into 5 <br /> rental units. The Board requested landscape plans and a review of the proposed business <br /> uses at the September meeting. Comments were received from the Director of Economic <br /> Development for Mashpee in favor of the application and from a representative of an <br /> abutter opposed to the application. The applicant revised the application to reduce the <br /> number of proposed uses of the rental units. <br />
