Scannell and Richard W. Mel] - SP-96-55 31 Bowdoin Road <br /> Map 54, Block 9 <br /> A Petition was filed on August 19, 1996 by Dennis A. Scannell and Richard W. <br /> Mell of Mashpee,Massachusetts for a Modification of Special Permit 91-48 to allow the <br /> construction of a 50 foot by 25 foot addition to an existing commercial building used for <br /> storage and repair. The property is located an I-1 zoning district at 31 Bowdoin Road <br /> (Map 54, Block 9) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on August 23, 1996 and August 30, <br /> 1996, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Carol H. Jacobson Senior Center <br /> at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, September 11, 1996 at which time the following members of <br /> the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. <br /> Regan III and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and Sections 174-24 <br /> and 174-25 of the Town of Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Scannell represented the application and presented plans for a 25 foot by 50 <br /> foot addition to the existing commercial building to be used for his well-drilling business. <br /> He explained that the Building Inspector had suggested that this be a Modification to the <br /> existing Special Permit granted in 1991 for the construction of the original building. No <br /> comments were received from abutters. <br />
