Board of Appeals Minutes - January 25, 1995 4. <br />j <br />Diane Cloutier TR. - Requests a Special Permit under Sections 174-17 and 174-55 of the <br />• Zoning By-laws to allow the expansion of a non -conforming structure with the addition of <br />a porch and two -free-standing signs exceeding the square feet and setback requirements <br />on property located in a C-2 zoning district at 470 Main St. (Map 27, Block 21) Mashpee, <br />MA. The property is the Flower `n Fern Florist shop in the Davy's Locker Restaurant <br />building. <br />Members sitting: E. Govoni, J. Regan and R. Nelson <br />Ms. Cloutier explained that she had added a porch to the building without realizing she <br />needed a Special Permit and was planning to have two free-standing signs. Bill Hauck <br />said the overhang on the porch was 6' and that the building had been upgraded. He said <br />the property will now have two free-standing signs which have been approved by Design <br />Review. <br />Megan McCarthy, 2 Birch Way, stated that she had not received any notices on the <br />hearing. Mr. Govoni suggested the property could still be in previous owners name. <br />Mr. Nelson moved to grant the Special Permit. Mr. Regan seconded. All agreed. <br />Fields Point Ltd. Partnership - Requests a Modificaion of Special Permit 86-04-024 to <br />allow the renovation and expansion of retail space in Building #5 of Mashpee Commons <br />formerly occupied by Puritan Clothing. The property is located in a C-1 zoning district at <br />• 38 Nathan Ellis Highway, Map 74, Block 20) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: E. Govoni, K. Marsters, R. Nelson <br />John Renz of Fields Point represented the applicant and explained that they were <br />renovating the space to accomodate three stores and adding approximately 1,500 square <br />feet. Mr. Marsters moved to grant the Special Permit. Mc. Nelson seconded. All agreed. <br />Ronald J. Kurker - (Advisement) <br />Members sitting: E. Govoni, J. Regan, R. Nelson <br />Mr. Govoni moved to grant the Variance. Mr. Nelson seconded. All agreed. Mr. Govoni <br />stated the Board had no authority to condition anything on inside of houses. <br />Minutes - Mr. Govoni moved to accept the Minutes of January 11, 1995. Mr. Nelson <br />seconded. All agreed. <br />Mr. Makunas, a Mashpee resident, asked if the Lapio hearing was to be reopened and Mr. <br />Govoni said it was not. <br />Mr. Govoni moved to adjourn at 9:05 P.M.
