0 <br />TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />BOARD OF APPEALS <br />Minutes <br />Wednesday, May 24, 1995 <br />The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, May 24, 1995 at 7:30 <br />P.M. at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present were: Edward M. Govoni, <br />Chairman; James E. Regan III, Vice -Chairman and Associate Members Cheryl A. Hawver, <br />Robert G. Nelson and Kenneth E. Marsters. Board members absent: John J. Friel and <br />Arnold D. Mindick. <br />Walter S. Wi hp tman - Requests a Variance from Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By- <br />laws for permission to exceed a 70' pier length to allow for a 97' pier on property located <br />in an R-3 zoning district at 419 Monomoscoy Road (Map 124, Block 58) Mashpee, MA. <br />Walter S. Wightman - Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning <br />By-laws for a pier, ramp, float and pilings in Little River on property located in an R-3 <br />zoning district at 419 Monomoscoy Road (Map 124, Block 58) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: E. Govoni, J. Regan, R. Nelson <br />Engineer Jeff Johnson represented the applicant and presented plans for a 97' dock. He <br />said that the Harbormaster and Shellfish Warden and Conservation have approved and that <br />the topography of the lot requires the length. Mr. Govoni asked for revised plans showing <br />exact distance from saltmarsh which was estimated to be 99'. <br />Mr. Regan moved to grant the Variance to allow the applicant to exceed the 70' dock <br />length and to grant a dock length of 97' or 99'. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. Mr. <br />Regan moved to grant the Special Permit. Mr. Govoni seconded conditional upon receipt <br />of revised plans. All agreed. <br />Myles D. and Mary T. Huntington - Request a Variance from Section 174-31 of the <br />Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the front yard setback requirements on property in <br />an R-3 zoning district at 35 Bayshore Drive (Map 108, Block 44) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: E. Govoni, C. Hawver, K. Marsters <br />Mr. Govoni moved to grant the Variance due to the hardship of the wetlands and required <br />buffer strip. The Variance would be a 3' side setback and 4.6' on the front setback. Ms. <br />Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />0 <br />
