'- Nt TON1•� 4Ti + U= Moron of f[aobpee 16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH MASHPEE, MA 02649 SLE BOARD OF APPEALS Decision for a Variance RE: Mashpee High School Building Committee - V-95-18 500 Old Barnstable Road Map 79/1, 80/1,2,4,5,73/13,14,15,16,72/100 A Petition was filed by the Mashpee High School Building Committee on January 17, 1995 for a Variance from Sections 174-31 and 174-38 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the maximum building height from 35 feet to 40 feet and to vary the parking space size from 9 feet in width and 20 feet in length to 9 feet in width and 18 feet in length on property located in an R-5 zoning district at Route 151 and Old Barnstable Road (Map 79, Block 1; Map 80, Blocks 1,2,4,5; Map 73, Blocks 13, 14, 15, 16; Map 72, Block 100)Mashpee, MA. Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on February 3 and February 10, 1995, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday, February 22, 1995 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III and Cheryl A. Hawver. Joel Seeley of Symmes Maini and McKee Associates, architects, and Dan Solien, landscape architect, represented the applicants. Mr. Seeley reviewed the elevations of the high school and explained that the building height increase were required for lights in the auditorium and science labs. Mr. Solien discussed the parking space size and reported that the 9' x 18' size is now in common use and would reduce the amount of paved surface on the lot.
