Wightman - V-95-39 419 Monomoscoy Road <br /> Map 124, Block 58 <br /> A Petition was filed on April 18, 1995 by Walter S. Wightman of Woburn, <br /> Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 175-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission to exceed a 70 feet pier length to allow for a 97 foot pier on property located <br /> in an R-3 zoning district at 419 Monomoscoy Road (Map 124, Block 58)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation-in the Town of Mashpee, on May 5, 1995 and May 12, 1995, a copy <br /> of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, May 24, 1995 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. <br /> Regan III and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and Section 175- <br /> 25.1.9 of the Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Engineer Jeffrey Johnson represented the applicant and presented plans for a <br /> proposed pier, ramp and float. He explained that the topography of the lot and the 50 foot <br /> band of saltmarsh required the extension of the dock and that both Conservation and the <br /> Harbormaster had approved the plans. The Board requested additional information on the <br /> required length. No comments were received from abutters. <br />
