To name
a few: Lions, Rotary, Kiwanis, or groups that support people in need.
Mr. Kupferman wanted to know why the Committee can't be in charge of this.
Ms. Stevenson isn't sure how much is involved. With more than one project going on already,
we need to be cognizant of what we are capable of. On the other hand, she has to point out
Race Amity Day was spearheaded by people who were not on MIDC. That's where we could
work together with a group and question who in the community is able to assist with this.
Mr. Sweet apologized as he thought he had more notes on this, but he knows the group in
Worcester is responsible for selecting these refugees.
Ms. Stevenson would like to reach out to Nell Fields again and arrange a meeting with this
group in Worcester.
Mr. Sweet inquired about activities that need to be done, labor, money, and any support
needed. He does not have a clue at this time what it would take.
Chairwoman Stevenson will follow up with Nell Fields and see where this evolves. She will
keep everyone apprised of her findings.
ADJOURNMENT
MOTION:
Ms. DeBoer moves to adjourn the meeting at 11:13a.m. Seconded by Ms. Wilson. All in
favor.
The meeting ended at 11:13a.m.
Next Meeting: Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 5:OOPM
Respectfully Submitted,
Christine M.
