TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />Board of Appeals <br />Minutes <br />Wednesday, September 22, 1993 <br />The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, <br />September 22, 1993 at 7:30 P.M. at the Mashpee Town Hall. <br />Board Members present and acting throughout were John J. <br />Friel, Michael A. Makunas and Cheryl A. Hawver. Building <br />Inspector William F. Hauck was in attendance. Mr. Friel called <br />the meeting to order at 7:55 P.M. <br />Mr. Friel noted that the tape recorder was being used for the <br />benefit of the secretary and that the tapes were not an <br />official record of the meeting and were reused. <br />Minutes - Ms. Hawver moved to accept the Minutes of September <br />8, 1993. Mr. Friel seconded. All agreed. <br />• Ben and Charlotte Faneuil - Request a Special Permit under <br />Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for an existing ramp <br />and float in Spinnaker Cove in an R-3 zoning district on <br />property located at 74 Waterway (Map 105, Block 213) Mashpee, <br />MA. <br />Members sitting: J. Friel, M. Makunas, C. Hawver <br />Environmental consultant Scott Smeyers represented the <br />applicant and explained that they were applying for an amnesty <br />license and that the dock had been built before 1978. Mr. <br />Makunas moved to grant the Special Permit. Ms. Hawver <br />seconded. All agreed. <br />The Custom Clubmakers, Inc.- Request a Special Permit under <br />Section 174-25.H.6 of the Zoning By-laws to allow for retail <br />sales of custom golf clubs and limited outside display in a <br />C-1 zoning district on property located at 528 Falmouth Road <br />(map 74, Block 16) Mashpee, MA. The site was formerly <br />occupied by Hall Oil Co. <br />Members sitting: J. Friel, M. Makunas, C. Hawver <br />Eliot Conviser explained that his original intention was to <br />have outside sales of golf clubs in a tent area. He said he <br />. had met with the Planning Board and decided that a permanent <br />structure was in the best interest of the Town. He planned a <br />Grossman -type cape in the existing picket fence area. He said <br />this was allowable by code. Mr. Friel asked what site <br />improvements were planned and Mr. Conviser said they would <br />improve landscaping, delineate parking and signage. He would <br />expect the owner to improve the paving. <br />
