Gamble for a Special Permit <br /> SP-93-88 <br /> A Petition was filed by James B. Gamble of Needham, <br /> Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Section 174-17 of the <br />` Zoning By-laws for permission to demolish an existing single <br /> family non-conforming home and construct a new single family <br /> home in an R-3 zoning district on property located at 5 Uncle <br /> Henry' s Road (Map 117 , Block 286 ) Mashpee. MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with <br />` Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by <br /> publication in The Enterprise, a newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 22 and October <br /> 29 , 1993 , a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br /> hereof . <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee <br /> Town Hall on Wednesday, November 10 , 1993 at 7 : 30 P.M. at <br /> which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were <br /> present and acting throughout: John J. Friel , Michael A. <br /> Makunas and Edward M. Govoni . . <br /> Engineer John Slavinsky represented the application. He <br /> reviewed plans for a year-round home to replace an older home . <br /> He explained that the house would now have only three bedrooms <br /> to conform to Board of Health and Conservation requirements . <br /> The Board determined that the planned construction was in <br /> harmony with the general purpose and intent of the by-laws and <br /> complied with the provisions therein. The Board found that <br /> the proposed expansion would not be a detriment to the <br /> neighborhood. <br />
