Maki, Jr. d/b/a Century Vault Co. for a Special Permit SP-91-54 <br /> A Petition was filed by Frank A. Maki, Jr. d/b/a Century Vault <br /> Co, of West Barnstable, Massachusetts for a Special Permit under <br /> Sections 174-25.E.3, 174-25.G.5 and 174-25.H.6 of the Zoning By-laws <br /> for permission to operate a concrete precasting business in an I-1 <br /> zoning district on property located at 90 and 100 Echo Road (Map 19, <br /> Blocks 6 and 7) Mashpee, Massachusetts. (Owner of record: Cape Cod <br /> Bank and Trust Co.) <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, <br /> on September 6 and September 13, 1991, a copy of which is attached <br /> i <br /> hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town <br /> Hall on Wednesday, September 25, 1991 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the <br /> following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: William J. Hanrahan, Michael A. Makunas and Cheryl A. Hawver. <br /> Mr. Maki represented his Petition and informed the Board that <br /> his company has been in business since 1976 at a West Barnstable <br /> location. He stated that the primary business is the sale of pre-cast <br /> burial vaults but he also makes other items and is engaged ,in the sale <br /> of gravestones and monuments as well as grave digging services. <br /> He explained that his firm would be using a new formulated release <br /> agent with a vegetable base which is used to spray the forms. <br /> Judy Mills, Water Commissioner, and David Rich Jr. , Operations Manager, <br /> Mashpee Water District, expressed concerns that no additional land <br /> on the lots be rendered impervious and that the drainage system meet <br /> the standards of the Groundwater Protection District. <br />
