Board of Appeals Frank A. Maki, Jr. d/b/a Century Vault 2.
George Costa, Board of Health, recommended that Board of Health
inspection would be required if any batch and mixing processes were
planned. Mr. Maki explained that this was not contemplated at present and
cement was produced off-site and delivered for use in the molds.
He explained that any excess material was used for car bumper blocks
or surveyor lot markers.
Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board of Appeals voted
unanimously on September 25, 1991 to grant the Special Permit subject
to the following conditions:
1. all "solid waste" existing on the site at the time the
deed is conveyed to the applicant shall be removed from
the site within six months.
2. the drainage ditch which runs along the easterly end of the
impervious material shall be cleaned of all debris, excavated
to a depth of three feet below impervious material elevation
and lined with 1" to 1.25" stone. The northern corner of
the property contains a catch basin which is currently not
functioning correctly and shall be repaired within six months
of the date when the deed is conveyed to the applicant.
3. the applicant is required to use a non-petroleum based
release agent on the forms and has agreed to use a vegetable
based agent. The product should be the equivalent of "Doric"
form oil B1-38. Equivalency to be determined by the Zoning
Enforcement Agent.
4. The Board of Appeals finds that the existing lot coverage
rendered impervious by buildings or pavement exceeds the
current requirements of the Groundwater Protection District
and is grandfathered. However, the owner shall be required
to comply with all other existing Groundwater Protection
District by-laws and any amendments thereto.
5. Board of Health approval shall be required for any changes
in manufacturing processes.
