Representative: Cape & Islands <br /> Engineering, Inc. <br /> Mr.O'Neill motioned to continue at the request of the applicant to 2/24/22 at 6:27pm. <br /> Mr.Dalton seconded the motion. <br /> Vote: 5-0-0 <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr.O'Neill; yes <br /> Mr.Sweet; yes <br /> Mr.Dalton; yes <br /> Mr.Colombo; yes <br /> Mr.Smith; yes <br /> In favor,5; Opposed, 0; Abstentions, 0 <br /> 6:03 George C. Silvestro Jr. & Mary L. Silvestro, 80 Waterway. Proposed demolition and NOI <br /> reconstruction of single family home with associated appurtenances. <br /> Mike Borselli from Falmouth Engineering, Inc. presented plans. Homeowner George <br /> Silvestro was present. <br /> Agent asked if the proposed patio is occupying areas of lawn, Mike Borselli said yes, there <br /> is a net increase even though they squared it off.Agent said given the lack of vegetation <br /> on the site, he recommends more of a mitigation plan to make those areas more robust. <br /> Assistant agent asked if they've seen these areas in the growing season, Mike Borselli said <br /> he hasn't been there during growing season in a long time. She also asked if they plan to <br /> keep the driveway gravel. Mike Borselli said yes. <br /> Mr.Colombo asked what the increase of square footage is including the patio. Mike <br /> Borselli said currently existing coverage of all surfaces is just over 6800 sq ft,post <br /> construction is 6400, so about 400 decrease in overall coverage.Structure only is 1730 sq <br /> ft, proposed is 2050 sq ft,so it's an increase in the house, decrease in the patio, overall <br /> decrease of 400 sq ft. <br /> Mr.Sweet asked about the drainage into the waterway.Mike Borselli said the proposed <br /> house has drywells. They serve the roof, they wouldn't be adequate to contain more. Mr. <br /> Colombo said it's worth considering something with an open grate. <br /> Assistant read Board of Health and Building Department comments. <br /> Mr.Sweet motioned to close and issue with the conditions that surface drainage <br /> gets a detailed review to see if its creating any issues and consider the drainage <br /> mechanism so it doesn not immediately drain into the bay, and that mitigation is <br /> added to the planting beds. <br /> Homeowner George Silvestro commented that he's the lowest house on the street <br /> regarding drainage. The water comes running down waterway and into the drainage on the <br /> left side. The overflow ends up in my driveway and runs down the side of my house.
