In her opinion, it has been a long time coming. The Tribe does not <br /> make the Land Acknowledgement. <br /> Ms. DeBoer commented the school system was successful this year in getting the <br /> Wampanoag flag raised at all three schools and it was a big project. In working with the <br /> Tribe for the Land Acknowledgement, every classroom has a QR code where you can hear <br /> a former student speaking in the native language of Wopanaak. Mashpee School <br /> Committee reads a statement at the start of every meeting. Brian Weeden has requested <br /> the town seal be redone, it looks great, and the Mashpee residents will vote on May 2, <br /> 2022 for the new seal. <br /> Ms. Stevenson commented on the change of the state seal as well. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> MOTION: <br /> Ms. DeBoer made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:51 p.m. Seconded by Mr. <br /> Kupferman.
