The Town will also be <br /> treating the pond to reduce Phosphate and nitrogen levels. <br /> The Seaport Economic Council will be meeting with DNR shortly to further the Mashpee Harbor <br /> Management plan. <br /> Committee ke=7 <br /> Water Quality: Don MacDonald reported that all the sampling dates (7/15, 7/29, 8/15 and <br /> 8/30) have been selected and notification to all volunteers has taken place. It appears that <br /> most of the volunteers will be returning this year. Don is in the process of determining a date <br /> for the training of all testers and securing boats. <br /> County Dredging: Ken reported that there were some challenges getting schedules set and <br /> equipment in place due to weather.The dredging began on 2/24 and was completed on 3/22. <br /> The pipe was moved off he spit on 3/22. It was broken down into two lengths and submerged <br /> with in a line that runs parallel to the Spit. Red ball markers were fastened either end and in <br /> the middle. The post dredge survey was completed on 3/23. The two remaining broken <br /> sections were moved to Fisherman's Landing area away from any potential bird activity. This <br /> pipe was moved to dredge-anchorage area inside the-Bay and will be_removed_to a location so _ <br /> repairs can be performed. Invoices for the work have been submitted to the Town. <br /> LG/GR Expansion Project: Dick Noonan reported that our consultant BSC has finished the <br /> NOI and has sent it to the Town for appropriate signatures. Once BSC receives the fully <br /> executed set of documents back they will begin filing with Conservation and other <br /> departments/authorities as needed. There was a further discussion about the need for us to <br /> determine where we are going to dispose of the dredge fines sediment in the future.
