The old <br /> dock and floats have been removed. A silt curtain has been installed and work will commence. <br /> Also noted was that the DPW has received Chapter 91 approval for the floating shellfish <br /> upwellers. <br /> Barnstable County Dredge: Ken reported that we are waiting for gear and pipe for the Poppy <br /> Approach Channel dredge. We are hoping to be able to begin work towards the end of next <br /> week. He also noted that the 1916 Channel and the Inner Channel are completed. <br /> LR/GR Expansion Project: Dick reported that he has just received the fully completed NOI <br /> from our consultants BSC Group. Ken and Dick will do a final review and then proceed with the <br /> filing with appropriate parties. <br /> New Business: <br /> Ken provided a general update to those present on the use of drying bags being used for the <br /> Pocasset River dredge project. This technology looks to be promising and could prove to be a <br /> viable solution for our LR/GR Expansion Dredge Project. <br /> Ken also reported that we do not have a date yet for inaugural meeting of the Town's new Task <br /> Force subcommittee being assembled to look into solutions for the disposal of dredging material <br /> (fines") <br /> Additional Topics: <br /> The project to provide dinghy storage on the Seconsett Island Causeway was brought up for <br /> discussion. Jeff reported that there is a plan in place to provide a rail for dinghy tie up that will <br /> accommodate 25 dinghies initially at a total cost of$10,000. Jeff also noted that the design will <br /> enable expansion as needed to sufficiently meet the needs of all mooring holders. However, to <br /> proceed DNR will need funding from Waterways. A discussion ensued and Steve Mone made a <br /> motion to support this request with an Article for Town Meeting. The motion was seconded by <br /> Don McDonald and unanimously approved by all present: Ken Bates, Dick Noonan, Don <br />
