MASHPEE PLANNING BOARD MEETING MINUTES <br /> June 20, 1990 <br /> Members Present: Judy Mills , Wayne Garrett, Louisa Behrman, <br /> Pat Coffey, Tony Ferragamo <br /> Also Present: Tom Fudala, Town Planner, Charles Rowley, <br /> Consulting Engineer <br /> Judy Mills called the meeting to order at 6 : 45 P .M. <br /> Public Hearin <br /> Public Hearing regarding acceptance by the Town of the <br /> layout of Sturgis Lane. <br /> Mr. Heimburg and Mr. Berliner were present. <br /> Tam stated that Charlie had told him that the road conforms <br /> to Town standard and the layout conforms to the plan. <br /> Public Questions or comments? <br /> Marie Scallie asked if there was already a Sturgis Lane in <br /> Town? <br /> Tom explained that she was thinking of Shields Road. <br /> Tom stated that the Town does not take most private roads . <br /> Judy stated that it will be up to Town meeting. <br /> Mr. Heimburg responded that when they first considered <br /> putting in this road they spoke to the Selectmen first who <br /> stated they preferred the applicant first build the road and <br /> then the Town would take it (although it would be up to Torn <br /> meeting) . There are a number of other houses which use this <br /> road. <br /> Wayne made a motion to recommend the acceptance of the <br /> layout of Sturgis Lane pending a written report by Charlie <br /> Rowley confirming Tom' s statements. Louise seconded the <br /> motion. All Board members present (3) were in favor. <br /> The Board explained to the applicant that he can return the <br /> next day to have his Letter of Credit returned to him. <br /> Discussion <br /> Applicant: Malcolm Macdonald <br /> Location,. Back Road <br /> Request; Continuation of discussion regarding Back Road <br /> improvement. <br /> There was a letter from Attorney Connely who stated that he <br /> is waiting for Dr. Macdonald to come back to the country and <br /> therefore requests a continuance to July 18th and extending <br /> the time the Board has to act until July loth. <br />
