(Requires a Special Permit with ZBA and Planning Board.)
Attorney, Rob Mills represented the applicants. He is seeking approval for the business "Preventative
Maintenance"that was before the committee a year ago. There were a few matters of concern, one being that
the spray paint booth system has a sprinkler system. Attorney Mills provided an interior floor plan (page 2) that
shows the proposed three lifts, and the areas for the auto repair and maintenance. Also included is a plan that
prepared by J.E. Landers-Cauley that shows the tight tank system that was recommended by the plumbing
inspector. There is also a fire suppression system plan for the vehicle paint spray booth. A meeting with the
Board of Appeals is required for a Special Permit for the use, and a meeting with the Planning Board for a
Special Permit for the proposed auto sales.
Jack Phelan Fire Chief
Mr. Phelan did inspect and approve the system that was installed for the spray booth, as well as the fire
extinguishers, fire alarm system, lighting, etc. Mr. Phelan asked the applicant to revise the "storage lift" as "lift
4" because it is being utilized. He is satisfied with all other fire protection, and has no other issues.
Evan Lehrer.Town Planner
For the record, Evan mentioned that he will require an engineer's stamp on the Fire Suppression Plan. He will
require a meeting with the Attorney prior to an application with the Planning Board to discuss the details for the
auto sales request, i.e., the number of vehicles, customer information, how the vehicles will be displayed, and
how many"for-sale"vehicles will be stored.
1
