Mashpee - Wakeby Lake Management Committee June 28,2022 7:00 PM Mashee Taw- Hall Meeting called by: Debi McManus Type of meeting: Monthly Secretary Barbara B.Nichols Attendees: Members: Donald MacDonald, Barbara Nichols, Mike Rapacz, Paul Bibo Guests: Sue Dangle The minutes of the May 24, 2022 meeting were accepted as written after a motion by Don MacDonald and second by Mike Rapacz Agenda topics [Agenda topic 1] Lake level/River outflow Discussion: Debi did the lake measurements on June 1st and June 15`n. Both times they were 55.5 feet above sea level with 12 inches of water flowing over the board closest to the lake. On the 1 st, there were 11 inches of water in the stream by the stairs and there were 12 inches on the 15th. From mid-May to mid-June, there were 4.69 inches of water in Barbara's rain gauge Conclusions: The lake level is stable at 55.5 ft. above sea level. [Agenda topic 2] M W Lake Study Update Discussion: The study to be done by Brian Howes at UMass Dartmouth is underway. It is planned to get an update on testing at the Select Board meeting July 1 lm Conclusions: The study is in progress. [Agenda topic 3] M. W. Lake Water Quality Discussion: The Town has received the three machines ordered to help with water quality testing, and the flowmeters have been placed at Cove Rd. area, State boat ramp, and near the bog. Testing will be done weekly and has started. The first test was acceptable. Conclusion: Three new machines for water quality testing have arrived and put in use. [Agenda topic 4] Spring Newsletter Discussion: The newsletter was sent to David DelVecchio who posted it on the town web site under boards and committees. Barbara left some in the lobby of the Town Hall and will keep that area replenished. Conclusions.
