Marie Stevenson, Dan Kupferman, Mohamad Fand, Richard Klein, <br /> Jayden Bryant, Katie Hennessey, Rachel Hicks <br /> Absent: Kim Landry, Patricia DeBoer, Winnie Johnson-Graham, Amna Igbal, Gail Wilson, <br /> Rowela Kent, John Cotton <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairwoman Stevenson called the meeting of the Mashpee Inclusion and Diversity Committee <br /> to order at 5:03P.M. <br /> LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT <br /> Today we acknowledge this meeting is being held on ancestral lands of the Wampanoag Tribe, <br /> also known as People of the First Light. We pay respects to their elders past and present. <br /> MINUTES — Tuesday, April 19, 2022 <br /> Mr. Kupferman corrected a typo on page three, line 10/11 says sot but should read so. Minutes <br /> were corrected with edit. <br /> MOTION: <br /> Mr. Klein made a motion to approve the meeting minutes for April 19, 2022 with <br /> aforementioned edits. Seconded by Mr. Kupferman. All in favor. <br /> MEMBER UPDATES <br /> 1. Column <br /> Mr. Kupferman, along with the Committee, discussed his article this month. May is Asian, <br /> Native Islander, and Pacific Islander month. The article featured the Who We Are immigration <br /> project being held on May 26th at the Mashpee Public Library with special guest Becky Field. <br /> He also mentioned the shooting in Buffalo which then segued into Race Amity Day nicely. At <br /> the end he addressed decorum, in light of recent Select and Planning Board meetings, <br /> between members and consultants. The election brought on allegations of election signs being <br /> stolen. In closing, he asked the community members to treat one another more respectfully. <br /> 1 <br />
