3 <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />• Discussion and Approval of October 4, 2022 Special Town Election <br />The Town Clerk stated that she is asking the Board to adjust the poll hours previously voted on by <br />the Board at the July 28, 2022 meeting to rectify the inadvertent error of holding voting hours during <br />the Yom Kippur Jewish holiday which begins at sundown on October 4, 2022. After consulting with <br />Rabbi Lieberman of the Falmouth Jewish Congregation, the Town Clerk asked the Board to adjust <br />the hours to 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. from the previous hours of 12 Noon until 7 p.m. <br />Ms. Kaye further stated that absentee ballots will be readily available for voters that cannot vote <br />during the adjusted voting hours and the alternate ways to vote will be put on the Town's website <br />and Facebook page, Mashpee TV, and the Mashpee Enterprise. <br />Chair Cotton and Vice -Chair Weeden asked that these procedures be very prominent on the <br />previously mentioned media sources. <br />Selectmen Sherman and O'Hara stated that they were fine with this as long as the voters can easily <br />access information on how and when they may vote in the Special Election. <br />Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to approve the Special Town Election the polling hours of 7 <br />a.m. until 5 p.m., approve the "Special Election Warrant" and to widely publicize the alternate <br />ways for residents to vote in this special election. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes <br />Selectman Sherman, yes <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Opposed, none <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to adjourn at 12:53 p.m. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes <br />Selectman Sherman, yes <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />w <br />Theresa M.
