Minutes of Meeting of
Mashpee Plan Review Committee
Tuesday, June 21, 2022
Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room
Evan Lehrer Town Planner
Mr. Lehrer suggested to ask the Selectboard again to prohibit parking on Bowdoin again and post no parking
until such time that improvements are proposed that would accommodate street parking. If they do not want to
accommodate, than they cannot park there. Mr. Lehrer made a motion that the Committee send a memo to the
Selectboard to support Ms. Laurent's request to make Bowdoin Road no parking until such time that an adequate
plan is in place to appropriately handle on-street parking.
Mr. Peltier, seconded. All were in favor.
Glen Harrin on Health A ent
Mr. Harrington asked what the implications would be if the Town gives the road back to the owners making it a
private road. When the road starts to erode and flood it would be their issue. Mr. Harrington believes that the
police and fire have the ability to enforce the private owners to fix the road if it becomes a hazard.
The Committee discussed the deeds of the properties, and are written that they own to the middle of the road if
the road is private. It's a land surveyor question to see how the deeds need to be changed or they may not have
to be changed because the ownership would extend to the middle of the road.
Ms. Laurent said a conversation with the property owners would be a good start.
OTHER BUSINESS
r Approve the June 7, 2022 meeting minutes
Mr. Taylor made a motion to approve the meeting minutes.
