-2- Schoolhouse Funds have been requested in the amount of $19,680, which will cover the cost of the AC/heating unit, plus the additional electrical upgrades that will be necessary. The unit will be painted to match the back wall where it will be placed. Having this unit installed. Will extend the season for the Schoolhouse tours through Veteran's Day. Catherine requested a 20% contingency for these expenses. Parsonage The Dendrochronology was performed on the Parsonage just after Thanksgiving. Daniel Miles, the Dendrochronologist, took about 19 samples from the beams in the ceiling and attic. Most of the wood was pine, but he was able to get a sample from a Hemlock beam, from which he should be able date the building. Other Business Rosemary had joined a zoom meeting that Sarah Korjeff, from the Cape Cod Commission, conducted on preservation and demolition delay bylaws, and she wondered if we had filed for it for Mashpee. Ava will check into it. Richard will contact Selectman John Cotton to see if the Commission could be notified before demolition of and buildings in Mashpee is done. We discussed the proposed new Rotary at the end of Great Neck Road North and Route 130. Ava had questions about a rock that was placed where the Old Town Hall had been. Years ago it had been proposed to have a plaque on the rock to designate the significance of that area, but that did not happen. We discussed several of the other old cemeteries in Mashpee. Richard might look into a grant to get funding for designating and/or marking old cemeteries. Ava would like to add a glass display case onto the 1897 Library table that is presently in the basement so it could be used. The table has a small plaque on it saying that it was from the old Mashpee Library Ava would like to continue to meet over the winter months since we have the ability to have Commissioners phone in to participate. The Community Garden group is going to expand their garden area. Ava had written a letter to Virginia Scharfenberg saying "the Mashpee Historical Commission supports your CPC request to expand the Mashpee Community Garden up to where the white flags are currently placed on the Attaquin Lot."
