The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Mr. Lehrer was present to discuss the Local Comprehensive Plan. He provided a brief <br /> overview of the first community kickoff event being held on Saturday, April 9th at the Mashpee <br /> High School gymnasium. It will begin at 10:00a.m. This event will launch the process and <br /> engage with as many Mashpee residents as possible to ascertain community values. The LCP <br /> will layout the foundation of existing conditions and will give us the ability to understand them <br /> before decisions are made about the future. The first event addresses higher level details <br /> laying out the process from now to the end of summer. There will be workshops with <br /> engagement, engagement in digital space, as well as smaller stakeholder topical workshops. <br /> Citizens will identify strengths, weaknesses, and challenges to boil down a vision for the future <br /> consistent with the RPP through the Cape Cod Commission. One primary component is a <br /> vision statement. The results of the online survey, along with findings from the workshop, will <br /> be distilled down into a vision statement to lead through the LCP. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. 950 Falmouth Road Status Update by David Quinn, Director of Development for Housing <br /> Assistance Corp <br /> David Quinn provided some positive updates. There are 39 affordable housing units on town owned <br /> land. POA and HAC got it through to permitting. The last six months have been working towards <br /> financing. The project will be named LeClair Village after Mary LeClair, a Mashpee resident and <br /> former HAC employee, and a long serving Board member and nonprofit advocate. The DHCD <br /> award letters came in for the tax credit financing as well as a number of state subsidies that moves <br /> them to the point of construction. They are shifting from the permitting phase to the design phase. <br /> They are halfway done with the proposal that goes to contractors for bids. His hope is to have the <br /> 1 <br />
