Taylor <br />Meeting Called toOrderby Chairman Weeden at 6:30 p.m. <br />Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br />MINUTES <br />Monday , September 12.2022 Regular and Executive _Sessions: <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Regular and Executive Session minutes of <br />Monday, September 12, 2022 as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br />ondaW September 19,2022 Regllar Session: <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Regular and Executive Session minutes of <br />Monday, September 19, 2022 as amended. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Weeden, yes <br />Selectman Sherman, yes <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Public Comment: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Opposed, none <br />Ken Debrowski of 3 Great Field Landing noted that he sent an email to the Select Board last week regarding <br />Article 26 of May 2, 2022 Town Meeting. The article instructs the Select Board to address immediately the <br />growing burden of onerous property tax increases on the Town's low and moderate income property owners. <br />This action should be completed in ample time in order to report to the citizenry prior to the next public hearing <br />on the Town's tax classifications. Mr. Debrowski read the article into the record. <br />Mr. Debrowski requested the Select Board give ample time for discussions including public review and <br />comment before this action is voted upon. It was recommended the Select Board use the guidance located on the <br />DOR website and consider the impact on the various populations, and the costs to non-residents and residents <br />using a 25% - 35% reduction as a model for comparison. <br />
