3 <br />October 3, 2022 <br />Michaela Columbo as resident of Meadowbrook Road indicated she is a candidate for the Select Board. After <br />talking and listening to I 00's of residents there is overwhelming concern about cleaning our waters with <br />urgency. Mrs. Columbo indicated Mashpee waters are our lifeblood, and they are in danger, The Town has been <br />working diligently and will be ground -breaking soon to begin the wastewater treatment plant project, a critical <br />step in the solution for clean water. The Town will have to continue to make additional changes for remediation <br />and restoration. The Select Board was requested to place water quality issues and pollution on their regular <br />agenda to address this problem. <br />Menernsha Road resident Gregory McKelvey stated that he is a member of the Finance Committee and a <br />candidate for the Select Board. Acting as a private citizen Mr. McKelvey indicated he has also engaged in <br />conversation with 1.00s of citizens over the past few months. There is concern with the water quality, the <br />financial impact and long term. taxes and spending. Mr. McKelvey stated he is hopeful the Town would continue <br />to move forward as quickly as possible with a cautious effort to balance expenditures. In closing Mr. McKelvey <br />noted that many townspeople are appreciative of what the Town is doing in moving forward to correct the water <br />quality problem in Mashpee. <br />11, 2022 within Mashpee Commons from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. <br />There are no changes from last year's parade route. Approximately 600-800 persons are expected to participate <br />and attend this event. All applicable regulatory agencies have signed off on the application with stipulations <br />imposed by the Department of Public Works, and Police Department for safety. <br />. . . . . . . . . . <br />of Commerce for the Annual Christmas Parade and Season of Blumination lighting as planned. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, y <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none I <br />
