Marie Stevenson, Dan Kupferman, Mohamad Fand, Richard Klein, <br /> Kim Landry, Gail Wilson, Rowela Kent, Rachel Hicks, Winnie Johnson- Graham <br /> Absent: Katie Hennessey, Jayden Bryant, Patricia DeBoer, Amna lgbal, John Cotton <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairwoman Stevenson called the meeting of the Mashpee Inclusion and Diversity Committee <br /> to order at 5:03P.M. <br /> LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT <br /> Today we acknowledge this meeting is being held on ancestral lands of the Wampanoag Tribe, <br /> also known as People of the First Light. We pay respects to their elders past and present. <br /> MINUTES — Tuesday, May 17, 2022 <br /> Mr. Kupferman had a correction for page one, under his column should say Mr. Kupferman <br /> and the Committee discussed the article. He also noted on page three, under Race Amity Day, <br /> it says he is sending out a PSA, but Rowela sent out the PSA for Mashpee TV. On page five, <br /> the last sentence of the top paragraph should be a separate paragraph, about attending a <br /> bystander training program. Lastly, the fifth paragraph on that same page, under Mr. Klein's <br /> comment should read 15,000 residents in Mashpee. Corrections were made. <br /> MOTION: <br /> Mr. Kupferman made a motion to approve the meeting minutes for May 17, 2022 as <br /> amended. Ms. Johnson-Graham seconded. All in favor. <br /> MEMBER UPDATES <br /> 1. Column <br /> Mr. Kupferman already wrote the column for June. He is thinking of ideas for future columns <br /> and is always taking input. He would like to get in touch with Marie Younger Blackburn to write <br /> a piece on her son Chase who is special needs. There is a residential community called LIFE <br /> with group homes in the community, he would like to talk with them. He is also interested in <br /> 1 <br />
