[Agenda topic 4] Fall Newsletter <br />Discussion: The fall newsletter is complete. Mike submitted an article on the need for sewering around the <br />ponds to protect the estuaries. Members agreed to send it to the Town Manager for Mr. Collins approval <br />and then for inclusion on our committee web page. We will display a few printed copies in the Town Hall <br />display area. <br />Conclusion: The newsletter is finished with the help of many, <br />[Agenda topic 5] Zoom meeting planned <br />Discussion: A zoom meeting is planned for November st on new boat ramp plans to prevent storm water <br />run-off into six of the Capes lakes including Mashpee Wakeby. Information for registering was presented. <br />Conclusion: Boat ramp changes to prevent storm water run-off are proceeding. <br />(Agenda topic bl Harbormaster <br />Discussion: The swim buoys and other markers for the boating season have been removed from the lake. <br />The Enterprise reported that two boaters in a 10 Foot jon boat capsized at 7:30 October 19". One managed <br />to swim to shore near Birch Way and the other was rescued by a neighbor in a paddleboat before the <br />harbormaster and fire department arrived. The harbormaster's boat had been removed from the lake for <br />the season, and had to be launched at the boat ramp. <br />Conclusion: Two boaters were safe after capsizing in Mashpee Lake. <br />(Agenda topic 7} Liaison <br />Discussion: Our committee is without a liaison since Andrew Gotlieb resigned from the Select Board. <br />Barbara called the Town Manager's office three months ago to request one be assigned, <br />Conclusions: MWLMC needs a liaison. <br />{Agenda topic 8) <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 P.M. <br />Barbara B.
