Report of the Superintendent • Professional Development Update (9/26 Half Day; 10/07 PD Day) — PFS Pillars 1-3 11/7 Half Day: Kalise Wornum-Cultural Proficiency continuum with Coombs and Mashpee Middle -High School teachers and Portrait of a Graduate continuum • Enrollment and Personnel Updates Superintendent DeBoer provided an update on enrollment and personnel • School Year 22-23 Update Superintendent DeBoer provided an update on MPS events/activities including Native American Heritage month celebrations, field trips, and school events • Administrators' Updates Coombs: Principal Goulart updated members on Coombs School happenings including the Story Book Dance, health screenings, and volunteers Quashnet: Principal O'Brien updated members on Quashnet happenings including Native American Heritage Month presentations and the grade 4 field trip to the Cape Cod Symphony • Superintendent's DRAFT FY24 Budget Narrative and CIP Requests Superintendent DeBoer presented her DRAFT FY24 Budget Narrative • Acknowledgements Superintendent DeBoer recognized the 2022 John and Abigail Adams Scholarship recipients, Mashpee Middle -High School receiving the MIAA District 9 Sportsmanship Award, MMHS musician Wesley Donovan and vocalists Shannah Lucich and Deliyah Fortes performance at the Southport Veterans Day Ceremony, VEX Robotics Team "Out of Stock", students who worked on and presented the Town Seal replica at the Select Board Meeting, Quashnet K Kids for their donation of 14 boxes of candy/care packages for troops abroad and on US soil and the Wampanoag Tribal Education Center for their presentations at each school in honor of Native American Heritage month. 9.
