Town of Mashpee <br /> , 16 Great Neck Rd.North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> . k, <br /> Mashpee Conservation Commission Minutes <br /> Thursday, July 14th, 2022 <br /> Waquoit Meeting Room, Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> 508-539-1400, extension 8564 <br /> Broadcast Live on Local Cable Channel 18 <br /> Streamed live on the Town of Mashpee website: httl�s://www.mashp eema.°.�ov/channel-1 s <br /> PRESENT: Paul Colombo, Brian Weeden, Steve Cook, Marjorie Clapprood, Thomas J.O'Neill <br /> CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Chairman Colombo called the meeting to order at 6:00pm. <br /> Pledge of Allegiance <br /> PRE/POST-HEARING AGENDA: <br /> Recao Positions 'Chairman Vice Chairman Secretar Chad Smith endorsed for <br /> Associate position (from full time status) and Marjorie Clapprood endorsed for full time <br /> position (from Associate status). Endorsements to be provided to the Selectboard for <br /> ratification. <br /> • ADproval of Meeting Minutes Meeting minutes from 4-14-22; 4-28-22; 5-12-22 & 5- <br /> 28-22 were tabled to the July 28th meeting due to a lack of a quorum of commissioners <br /> present this evening at those meeting minute dates <br /> • Up dates• <br /> o Redbrook Rd Culvert: Agent provided an update on the status of the <br /> Redbrook Rd culvert. Horsley Witten Group completed the culvert replacement <br /> report and the agent will send out report to the commissioners for their review. <br /> Agent summarized report with recommendation on replacing the existing failed <br /> culvert with an 8 ft wide box culvert with no water control structures. Road <br /> safety is the key concern for both towns. Sandbags will not be replaced. <br /> o Upper Quashnet Restoration: Phase 2 ongoing. No new updates <br /> o Johns Pond/Santuit Pond Milfoil: Surveying completed on both ponds. <br /> Additional 3 acres to be treated on Johns Pond. Santuit has 22 acres of milfoil <br /> and fanwort infestation. Treatment for Johns Pond is covered under existing <br /> order of conditions. Agent will be submitting a Notice of Intent for treatment on <br /> Santuit Pond <br /> o Chopchaque Bog Restoration: Conservation Restriction language being <br /> finalized. Ongoing phase 2 work by Horsley Witten Group. <br /> o Local Comprehensive Plan: Closed Systems is the next workshop coming <br /> up. <br />
