PLANNING BOARD <br /> Town of Mashpee <br /> MINUTES of THE MEETING OF THE PLA?TNING BOARD <br /> DATE : 17 October 1979 <br /> TIME : 7 : 30P .M. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Earle Mar s t er s , Donald Blakeman, Richard Terry <br /> ABSENT: Mr Richardson Jonas <br /> ALSO PRESENT : Mr. Philip Holmes , Town Engineer, Mrs , Nancy Blakeman <br /> Notes : Mr. Philip Holmes will bring in a report on the subdivision <br /> of Peters Enterprises to next meeting as per discussed at <br /> meeting of 3 October 1979 . <br /> Letter dictated to Town Counsel requesting his presence at <br /> Planning Board Meeting on 7 November 1979 - re release of <br /> three (3) lots in question in Sherwood Forest and to discuss <br /> subdivision off Meeting Hour e Road (John Drew) . <br /> Demo to Board of Selectmen re HUD maps for house numbering . <br /> Secretary requested to obtain copies of any articles that <br /> revised zoning by-laws from 1973 to date along with supple- <br /> ment s L. Mr., Richard Terry will work to piece together new <br /> Zoning By-Laws book-. <br /> Mr. John Drew of Hyannis , Mass . , came before Planning Board seeking his <br /> "signed copy" of Subdivision off Meeting Douse Road (Definitive Plan. <br /> #790) . Although cross-index card shows plan signed in 1976 , the plan <br /> itself bears no signatures . Planning Board never approved covenant. <br /> Planning Board will research and also find out whether or not Mr. Drew <br /> submitted check for expenses and send Mr.- Drew a letter of findings <br /> and/or what course of action to take . It. appears that there were some <br /> changes to -be made and whether or not fees were paid. Planning Board <br /> to ask Town Counsel for opinion'. <br /> SCENIC RIVER DESIGNATION Mr. Mars tens revealed the State had not con- <br /> tacted us but felt they would turn it over to the Planning Board and <br /> assist us both in and out of court. Mr. Mars ters doesn' t believe they <br /> will be holding anymore mee t in.g s down here . <br /> Mr. Blakeman announced that inasmuch as Conservation is working on one <br /> river, he would like. to have all three rivers incorporated at the same <br /> time. Personally, he will go out and do everything he can to' incorporate <br /> all other rivers , Although Mr. Terry and Mr. Mars ters are both willing <br /> to work on the Mashpee River; and they both believe incorporating is <br /> the best of all plausible worlds providing you can get people to go along <br /> with it . . . ane step at a time is the best approach. It should not be- <br /> tackled , unless its dome constructively. Mr. Mars ters further stated <br /> that to do more than one a.t a time would create mass confusion and there <br /> would be tremendous hearings . . .just not practical at all , - <br />
