MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PIANNING BOARD DATE. March 21, 1979 TIME: 7:30 P.M. PRESENT: Donald Blakeman3 Harold Collins and Richardson Jonas. Earle Mars tern was absent* Also present was Mike McGrath, -Phil Holmes' CffD'Lce Manager e N Mr. Jonas told Mr. McGrath that the Board wants the road names put down the side of the zoning map, with a number and letter legend, adding that it should be made hider and clearer. Mr. McGrath said that the -town provided his office with a myl.a.r, from which they made a smaller one. His office didn't handle the print- ing and they never got the myl ar back, They said that they have gone over it and clarified all the roads that couldn't be read - the difficulty .in legibility being caused by. making prints from a sepia. Mr. Jonas said that the mylar_ is the most important and. k1.r. McGrath said that a mylar will be made from the current map and sent, to Boston. They make a negative and can make it any size. He pointed out that we lost some of the clarity on the small reproduction because they lost the myl.ar. Mr. Jonas stressed the fact that we should have only one plan, combining zoning and road names with a legend. Attached is a letter from Phil Holmes re Qua.shnet Valley Golf Course, Area B. Mr. 'McGrath said that Mr. Umina will have to re_juggle those particular lots around the wetlands_. It was mentioned that the Conservation Commission says that it is wetlands if water is there for five months of the year. Mr., Jonas said that the owners name is on the plan, 1...e., "Equestrian Trust'=, and suggested.asking Xr. Mars tern at the next meeting if the Board had decided that if it was a trust, 'we wanted to.know who the trustees are. It also was said that the plan should go to the Conservation Commission. Attached are Mr. Holmes ' comments on duplicate road names and roads with two names. Mr. Jonas suggested putting:both names on the map as long as there weren't too many. It was mentioned that the Fire Chief said Central Road is Great Neck Road -- Central Road is the name on the road layout - Assessors have it as Central Road, MTr. Jonas said that he doesn't think the xoads with no names should be a cona- c ern at this time - not until someone tries to make a buildable road. Mr. McGrath said that they have an index card- for every new road and all the ole ones .s o there won't be a d upli o ati on, adding that they will check it on their cards when new roads roll in. Re: Talley Road East -- Mr. Jonas said that if there are no houses on it, take the name off -- but if houses are there and people are using it as. an address, leave it on.
