in them creating a CDL Certification Course to address the shortage of commercial drivers in the region, especially bus drivers. Workforce Development: There will be a roundtable in February 2023 of organizations that will present their resources to small businesses. It can be overwhelming to figure out which organization and which program is the best fit. This roundtable will provide a single conduit for small businesses. These organizations at the roundtable will be Coastal Community Capital, Mass Development, MA Office of Business Development, MA Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development, EforAll, Entrepreneurs Forever, and SBA. Blue Economy: The Chamber's Blue Economy Foundation, WHOI, Cape Cod Community College, the Cape Cod STEM Network, and the Cape Cod Fishermen's Alliance are hosting WaterWorks career day again on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the Community College's new Science and Engineering building. This career day will focus on STEM fields for Cape area high school students who will have the opportunity to talk to various organizations about internships and employment. Facade Improvement Partnerships: The Chamber's Cape Cod Economic Development Council will apply for the Regional Economic Development Organization Grant from the state. This grant money is for facade and wayfinding improvement projects. The three entities selected for funds are the town of Eastham, Cape Cod Community College, and the Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District. 5. Other Items: Rick Cayer introduced himself. He is a real estate investor and resides in Mashpee with his family. He is interested in joining the EDIC and came to sit in on the meeting to learn more about it.
