in them creating a CDL Certification Course to address the shortage of commercial drivers in the <br />region, especially bus drivers. <br />Workforce Development: There will be a roundtable in February 2023 of organizations that will <br />present their resources to small businesses. It can be overwhelming to figure out which <br />organization and which program is the best fit. This roundtable will provide a single conduit for <br />small businesses. These organizations at the roundtable will be Coastal Community Capital, <br />Mass Development, MA Office of Business Development, MA Executive Office of Housing and <br />Economic Development, EforAll, Entrepreneurs Forever, and SBA. <br />Blue Economy: The Chamber's Blue Economy Foundation, WHOI, Cape Cod Community <br />College, the Cape Cod STEM Network, and the Cape Cod Fishermen's Alliance are hosting <br />WaterWorks career day again on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the Community College's new <br />Science and Engineering building. This career day will focus on STEM fields for Cape area high <br />school students who will have the opportunity to talk to various organizations about internships <br />and employment. <br />Facade Improvement Partnerships: The Chamber's Cape Cod Economic Development Council <br />will apply for the Regional Economic Development Organization Grant from the state. This grant <br />money is for facade and wayfinding improvement projects. The three entities selected for funds <br />are the town of Eastham, Cape Cod Community College, and the Hyannis Main Street Business <br />Improvement District. <br />5. Other Items: Rick Cayer introduced himself. He is a real estate investor and resides in <br />Mashpee with his family. He is interested in joining the EDIC and came to sit in on the meeting <br />to learn more about it.
