MINUTES <br /> MASHPEE BOARD OF SEWER COMMISSIONERS <br /> TH U RSDAY JAN UARY 26, 2023, 2:00 p.m. <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> WAQUOIT MEETING ROOM <br /> 16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH <br /> MASHPEE, MA 02649 <br /> *In-person, televised meeting* <br /> Present: Chair, Chad Smith, Vice-Chair, Meredith Harris, Clerk, Catherine Castaneda, <br /> Interim Town Engineer, Ray Jack, Phyllis Sprout, Al Towle <br /> Other attendees: Sandra Tripp, GHD <br /> Absent: N/A <br /> 2:OOPM —Convene Meeting Chairman, Chad Smith called the meeting to order at 2:OOPM in open session at <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> MOMENT OF SILENCE <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION <br /> None at this Time. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Catherine Castaneda made a motion to accept the minutes of the January 12, 2023 Sewer Commission <br /> meeting. <br /> Mr. Towle seconded the motion. <br /> Motion was passed by unanimous consent. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> None at this Time. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Discuss limiting the amount of time for Public Comment to 3 minutes per person. <br /> Vice-Chair Harris stated that the intent is not to keep people from speaking. She stated that setting a time will <br /> keep people more focused on what they have to say. Mr. Towle asked what is normal and customary and it <br /> was stated that the Select Board has a 3 minute time limit. <br /> After a discussion it was agreed that 5 minutes seemed fair and that any more than 5 minutes a person must <br /> make a formal request to be included on the meeting's agenda. <br /> 1 <br />
