The 2nd pediatric clinic for 5-11 year olds was held at Christ the King Parish Hall on January 811
36 children received their 2"d dose of the Pfizer vaccine. At the booster clinic at Christ the King
Parish Hall on January 11tn approximately 140 residents were vaccinated. There were a number
of cancellations due to the single-digit temperatures that day. The clinic went smoothly, thanks
to the Church and the VNA,another clinic is being scheduled in February, with dates TBD.
Homebound residents are still getting referred to the VNA for in-home Booster shots, and the
general public to the clinics offered at the County Complex and at CCCC. Residents are being
referred to the test site at the Fairgrounds, as well as to the new Stop the Spread site at the
Melody Tent.
The Health department recently acquired a small supply of rapid test kits from the CHC,which
are ear-marked for distribution to at-risk populations. Additionally, the County is placing a bulk
order of test kits this week or next, and the department is subsequently authorized by the Town
Manager to expend up to$2,500 of our COVID budget to purchase 250 kits through this process.
The County is aware of the Health Department's request, but are unsure how soon delivery is on
those. There has been continued participation in weekly conference calls with MA DPH and
other LBOH;to update the COVID page on the Town website; and to maintain the COVID case
tracker and provide daily updates to the Town Manager and Emergency Dispatch Services.
Additionally, the department remains in close contact with Mashpee Recreation Department, as
well as the School Nurse Coordinator to track cases that impact or have the potential to impact
students, staff and the public.
2. Review of Housing Violations at 58 Buccaneer Way. Mr. Harrington commented, at the last
meeting, the board considered the large amount of boxes placed at the property a nuisance and
requested Town Counsel's guidance on how to proceed if required timeframe's are not met.
Counsel has not responded to our request yet.
Tenant, Linda Lamagna, introduced herself for the record, and explained she is at the meeting to
answer any questions.
There being no further comments or discussion, Kripani Patel motioned to continue the issue of
housing violations at 58 Buccaneer Way until the Health department hears back from Town
Council. Motioned seconded by Ernest Virgilio. Roll Call Vote: Ernest Virgilio (yes), Kripani Patel
(yes).VOTE: Unanimous(2-0)
3. Review of request for Variance from Santuit Pond Pumping/Inspection 9 Attaquin.
Mr. Harrington commented, a request for an appeal of the order to pump and inspect the septic
system at 9 Attaquin Street has been submitted. The owner requested a continuance for the
last meeting of 16 December 2021. The owner works at DPW and is out of the office until
January 7, 2022. The owner was not notified of the continued hearing date so the hearing was
postponed until this meeting. The owner stated that they were going to hire a land surveyor to
see if the property met the 300 foot setback that was used to include properties in the survey.
Kelly Robson, home owner, introduced herself for the record. Ms. Robson had a couple
questions about the map the Board of Health used and how the Board/town made the decision
to require pumping and inspection of septic systems around Santuit Pond. Ms. Robson pulled a
map from the GIS on the town website. She feels that the map shows 111 Timberlane Drive is
the starting point of the 300 feet. Her property is 297 feet away from 111 Timberlane Drive.
Mr. Harrington stated that we used the same map for everyone and if the 300 feet touched the
property lines then it property was included in the survey.
